About Alexey Bykov

Alexey Bykov`s technique to create colorful and realistic sculptures in hard wood makes the material look soft and plastic, making an illusion of being sculpted, not carved.

Influenced by the classic school and folk art, he manages to develop his style where classic shapes melt into exaggerated forms smoothly flowing one into another achieving a natural harmoniously accomplished look.

She is not a mere statue, she is sublime and a real presence in our lives already.
Her slenderness and beauty is a sheer joy to behold.

You cannot p... [Read more]
